In the middle of Val di Sole you can find Mezzana. The historic centre consists of small steep streets and a number of elegant buildings (Casa Maturi built in the 16th century, the parish church of SS. Pietro and Paolo dating back to before 1211). The villages of Roncio (m 1051), Ortisè (m 1477) and Menas (m 1517) are also part of the municipality.

The recreation and sports resort of Marilleva is situated down the valley along the banks of the river Noce where the world canoeing championships were held. Rapid links to other tourist resorts provide opportunities for walks and excursions, to the Stelvio National Park, Val di Pejo, Val di Rabbi or Madonna di Campiglio.
